I never thought I was a very good writer growing up. I was convinced that my poor grades in English class were indicative of the fact that someone who wasn’t very good at spelling or grammar could ever be a very good writer, let alone enjoy it. Thankfully, I eventually had a teacher who saw beyond the technical errors, and helped me craft a written voice that could express my thoughts and feelings in a way that people might just actually enjoy reading.
Through my career, I have worked to hone that voice, and find the best words and phrases to tell a variety of stories. So, I apologize for my improper comma placement in advance, but I hope that you will find these collections of my writings enjoyable and helpful.
If you would like to find some of the work that I've made for other organizations you can here.
The religion that I was raised up in taught me so much about how to be strong in the faith that I was given. To not be afraid in the face of challenges or critiques of my way of thinking. Ultimately, I didn’t expect that those challenges would come from people who didn’t think I passed the sniff test of being faithful enough to Scripture.
Something that I have missed while living in the city is peace and quiet. The hustle and bustle of day to day life can leave me frazzled, feeling disconnected from reality.
We ought to take the sacrament of confession seriously as Evangelicals because we actually believe that we are Christ’s very body to one another. When we withhold the opportunity to confess our sins to one another, we fall into the trap of focusing more on the world of our senses rather than the world of faith.
